A true GEM! The atmosphere is creative, artistic, the plant life is next-level! The food was superb! My guy and I shared a house salad with feta and a gorgeous pizza with pepperoni, hot honey, hamburger, and jalapeños. We were so glad we got to sit outside, the day was beautiful, made more beautiful by our experience at Satchel's. We will absolutely be back many, many more times! Side note: The dessert menu is ingenious!
What a trip! Road from Wildwood to Gainesville on the motorcycles, was worth the trip. Pizza was fantastic and right out of the oven.! talk to the owner, who was busy putting tiles that he makes by hand and fires in his own kiln and attach them to the wall of the outside is place as wild! First time here. Read reviews and heard from friends that this was the place to go. So happy we did, food is awesome, atmosphere is funky and the staff is above and beyond. Had the house salad, small can feed 4 people. The best salad we have eaten. Ordered the pan pizza with sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms and ricotta. The best pizza ever. Better than Leonardos and they were our favorite. We came from Jacksonville and this will be a monthly trip from now on.
A most eclectic, pizza place that is a long standing favorite in Gainesville and truly a work of art done over years by the owner with fabulous pizza, calzones, homemade sodas in 6 different flavors, served in kid-friendly flights, and salads and desserts to die for (pictures of the desserts are viewed through a View-Master-how cool is that and such a throwback to my childhood)! You can dine inside or outside at customized tables with any tabletop design you can imagine, from tile to cd’s and even potholders, or, if you prefer you can dine inside an airplane suspended in the upstairs patio, the greenhouse, with plants you can buy, or the hippie van out front. Even the bathroom is a treat with walls done in an animal theme and 12 different animal toilet paper holders! Enjoy the pictures and if you get the chance to go, you should!
Atmosphere gets a couple extra stars! So much fun stuff to look at everywhere! The food and service were fantastic as well! Do NOT miss the toy shop - especially if you are Millenial or older!

The food was just as impressive: The Satch Salad: This is a must-try; the dressing is delicious and the ingredients are so fresh. Generous Pizzas: The portions are huge and the toppings are high-quality. Excellent Service: The staff was attentive and made the night even better. Whether you're dining in the blue van or just enjoying the atmosphere, it's an experience you shouldn't miss. Highly recommend! Quick Tips for Your Visit Unique Seating: You can actually dine inside a 1965 Ford Falcon van or under a plane in the back. Fun Extras: Don't forget to check out Lightnin' Salvage, the quirky gift shop in the back, or try their homemade natural sodas. Payment: While they have historically been cash-only, they have recently begun accepting cards as well.
What can I say? This was the best pizza I have had outside of New York City today. The crisp buttery crust of the deep dish pie was to die for. Ella was an amazing server who took care of us and recommended the best things on the menu. Satchel seems like such a cool dude and amazing artist. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Gainesville.

It’s part restaurant, part art installation, and entirely memorable. This time, we ordered the pesto pizza topped with pepperoni and extra cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, with the pesto adding a fresh, savory twist that paired incredibly well with the pepperoni. The wait time was about an hour, but honestly, it was well worth it. Instead of just standing around, we headed to the back area, grabbed a couple of beers, and soaked in the laid-back vibe. The bartender recommended the Luna beer, saying it was his favorite—and now it’s ours too. Great food, great atmosphere, and a unique experience every single time.
Man I really was like a kid in a candy store being here was such a great experience and trip down memory lane. The atmosphere obviously is first class. The food was equally fantastic and the quantities blow your mind. 14” pizza is more like a 20”. The sauce and toppings are perfectly balanced. The salad? Oh man I took enough salad home to eat all weekend. The menu is absolutely correct a large salad served 8!! The calzone is piled high with tender meat. But for sure the service is excellent. If I was 30 years younger…..just kidding. But super sweet lady and very kind. Last but Not least take a walk around the property and really look around at the memorabilia. From the airplane second floor dinning to the live music inside at the coolest bar I’ve seen a some time. I’m definitely going back and taking a driver cause the deals on draft are pretty good 😊 Enjoy
